Arlington extended the longest winning streak in Dakota Valley (9 Man) this week by beating Lake Preston, 39-8. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Cardinals.
St. Mary led the league in scoring this week by notching 58 points on Oldham-Ramona/Rutland.
Riley Hanson was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 31 carries, he ran for 361 yards as Deubrook defeated Elkton/Lake Benton MN. Dustin Trooien also contributed to the rushing game with 118 yards on the ground.

Leading Dakota Valley (9 Man) in both passing and receiving yards, Arlington's Andrew King and Luke Weber have proven to be a lethal combination. King has thrown for 457 yards this season, while Weber, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 7 catches for 206 yards. Adolph Shepardson's team's Hanson leads the league in rushing yards with 930.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Steve Gilbertson's team and Tal Farnham's team. The Cardinals enters the game ranked fifth in the state, while the Elks ranks 11th.
The Dolphins' Hanson needs only 70 yards against Castlewood next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Arlington takes on Elkton/Lake Benton MN. The Cardinals have allowed 58 points this season, while the Elks have given up 59. Arlington allowed 8 points last week as it topped the Divers.
DeSmet/Iroquois suffered the largest drop in the standings this week, falling from fifth to seventh in the league. A 26-0 loss to the Warriors last week preceded the drop.
