Dillon is 10-0 against Waccamaw since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Dillon Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Waccamaw Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Dillon knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Waccamaw likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Dillon made easy work of Manning and carried off a 47-22 victory. The result was nothing new for Dillon, who have now won five games by 23 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, Waccamaw pushed their score all the way to 36 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Aynor by a score of 38-36. Waccamaw has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losing side was boosted by Zaireon Skinner, who rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries.
Dillon's win was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-1. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 13-1 Dillon and 9-4 Camden (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.3% over those games). As for Waccamaw, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Dillon took their win against Waccamaw in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a conclusive 38-14. Does Dillon have another victory up their sleeve, or will Waccamaw turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
