After two games on the road, Hoisington is heading back home. They will take on the Larned Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hoisington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Hoisington on the road against Lyons as the squad secured a 57-25 win. With that victory, Hoisington brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Hoisington got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylee Hahn out in front who scored 13 points along with four steals. Ellie Crawford was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Larned's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell 53-41 to Hesston. While losing is never fun, Larned can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Hesston is ranked 17th).
Hoisington's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Larned, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-10-1.
Hoisington strolled past Larned when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 46-27. Will Hoisington repeat their success, or does Larned have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
