The Allegany Campers pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Southern 60-56. While losing is never fun, Allegany can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Southern is ranked 29th).
Carly Wilt was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds for Southern. The team also got some help courtesy of Emelee Parks, who scored 15 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Allegany will take on Berlin Brothersvalley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
