Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Downey to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Elias Haynes, who rushed for 230 yards and one  TD while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. With that strong performance,  Haynes is now averaging an impressive 117.4  rushing yards per game.  Bryant Mendes was another key back, rushing for 116 yards and a pair of  scores while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Downey was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 466  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 169  rushing yards in six consecutive  contests.
Downey now  has a winning record of 4-3. As for Pitman, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 4-3.
