Mission Viejo and Aliso Niguel are an even 5-5 against one another  since February of 2016, but  not for long. The Mission Viejo Diablos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Aliso Niguel Wolverines at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Mission Viejo is coming into the  contest on a four-game losing streak.
 Last Friday, Mission Viejo was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  55-51 to El Toro.
 Mission Viejo's  defeat came about despite a quality game from  Alexander Frost, who  dropped  a double-double on 18 points and 11  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Hudson Dunlap, who  scored 11 points.
 Meanwhile, Aliso Niguel pushed their score all the way to 68 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Dana Hills  72-68. While losing is never fun, Aliso Niguel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings  (they are ranked 196th, while Dana Hills is ranked 37th).
 Mission Viejo bumped their record down to 8-15 with that  loss, which was their fourth straight  at home. As for Aliso Niguel, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.
