survived in dramatic fashion Saturday with a 54-51 win over Withrow (Cincinnati). Up next is Walnut Hills (Cincinnati) in the round of eight.
16. (17) Champlin Park (Champlin, Minn.), 26-0McKinley Wright continues to put up ridiculous stat lines for Park. The Dayton-bound senior guard tallied 25 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists in an 85-75 win over Robbinsdale Armstrong (Plymouth) to close out the regular season.
17. (19) Wise (Upper Marlboro, Md.), 21-0Senior point guard
Brent Pegram scored a team-high 18 points and handed out five assists Saturday as Wise advanced with a 69-52 win over Parkdale (Riverdale). The Pumas face Quince Orchard on Thursday in the MPSSAA Class 4A semifinals.
18. (21) Skyline (Dallas), 34-1In a regional final sure to get the shot clock advocates riled up, Skyline toppled unbeaten then-No. 15 Klein Forest (Houston) 33-29 on Saturday. That sets up a Class 6A state semifinal showdown with formerly-ranked Wagner (San Antonio).
19. (22) Edwardsville (Ill.), 28-1The Tigers haven't lost since Dec. 3 to Belleville West, the same team they will face Tuesday in a Class 4A sectional final.
20. (23) Webster Groves (Mo.), 25-2Missouri's Class 5 state tournament is loaded with landmines for Webster Groves, including defending champ Chaminade (St. Louis), Kickapoo (Springfield), Lee's Summitt West (Lee's Summitt) and Nixa. The Statesmen begin the journey Wednesday against Battle (Columbia).
21. (NR) Norcross (Ga.), 26-5Georgia's Class 7A state tournament bracket began with six teams that appeared in the High School Top 25 this season. Norcross is the lone survivor of that group and still has one more game to go in order to be crowned champ. The Blue Devils face No. 24 Tift County on Saturday for the title.
22. (24) Union (Tulsa, Okla.), 26-0OSSAA Class 6A state tournament play begins Thursday for the Redskins against Putnam City West (Oklahoma City).
23. (NR) Basha (Chandler, Ariz.), 31-1Class 6A state champions. Season complete.
24. (NR) Tift County (Tifton, Ga.), 28-2Senior
Preston Horne was part of a state championship team at Tift County as a freshman back in 2013-14. Now he's the man for the Blue Devils heading into another title game appearance, averaging 23.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. The Blue Devils knocked off nationally-ranked teams (Newton and McEachern) in back-to-back outings in the 7A tournament last week.
25. (25) Grand Rapids Christian (Grand Rapids, Mich.), 20-0After a close call against Kalamazoo Central in its season finale, GR Christian meets East Grand Rapids on Monday in Class A district play.
