Xenia (Ohio) trailed Troy 44-36 with one final play remaining in a freshman football game Friday night. The Buccaneers were to receive the kickoff and seemingly had little hope.
Then
it happened.
Xenia took the ball at its own 30-yard line, successfully executed five laterals and Markus Allen did the rest, weaving 45 yards through the kick cover team to cap an insane 70-yard touchdown.
In a cruel twist of fate, the Buccaneers failed to convert the two-point conversion and lost 44-42 but the memory of this effort will live on.
