Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati) moved atop the Midwest rankings while Punxsutawney (Pa.) returned to the No. 1 spot in the Northeast rankings.
Maintaining their spots at No. 1 in their respective regions were JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) in the West, Sulphur (La.) in the South and Hamilton (Chandler, Ariz.) in the Southwest.
The ratings are based on the
MaxPreps Computer Rankings, which are posted twice a week. Also check out
playoff brackets from around the nation.
The five regions include the West (California, Hawaii, Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Colorado), Midwest (North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Nebraska, Kansas), Southwest (Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico), South (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland), and Northeast (Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, District of Columbia, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine).
