Video: Kendall Breland scores touchdownLaurel (Miss.) senior punches in milestone score.Kendall Breland is a 5-foot-8, 140-pound senior defensive tackle at
Laurel (Miss.).
Breland also happens to be a girl and made a little history Friday night by becoming the first female high school football player to score a touchdown in Mississippi, according to
LuckyShow.org (a site that provides the useful service of tracking touchdowns scored by females at the high school, college and pro level).
With Laurel holding a 7-0 lead over Wingfield (Jackson) in the first quarter, Breland rumbled in from a yard out as seen in the clip above. The Golden Tornadoes rode the momentum from the milestone score to a 61-14 victory.
Breland was also on the varsity roster for a 10-4 Laurel team a year ago and was credited with a solo tackle against Brookhaven.

Breland takes the hand-off moments before recording a historic touchdown.
