Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) guard
Markus Howard is headed to Marquette.
In addition, the 5-foot-11 guard plans to fast-track his prep timetable and head to Milwaukee next fall.
Originally considered a 2017 prospect, Howard was immediately installed as a Top 40 prospect in the 2016 class by
247Sports.
A transfer from Gilbert, Ariz., Howard led Findlay Prep in scoring this season at 18.6 points per game to go along with 3.4 assists and 2.7 rebounds. The Pilots finished 28-2 and finished the season ranked in the Top 25 nationally by MaxPreps.
The new Golden Eagle is a two-time gold medalist with USA Basketball. Older brother Jordan averaged over 20 points per game in 2015-16 at Central Arkansas.
Howard joins a recruiting class that includes versatile forward
Brendan Bailey of
American Fork (Utah) and state champ
Sam Hauser of
Stevens Point (Wis.).

Howard averaged over 30 points per game as a sophomore at Perry High School in Arizona.
