The MaxPreps "This Week in High School Football" Podcast was back in full-swing this week after CB — aka Chris Brown — missed last week due to illness. He joined his partner in broadcasting Zack Poff for a great Episode 10.
The duo welcomed one of the most unsung running backs in the country,
Jaylen Warren of
East (Salt Lake City, Utah), the nation's No. 24 squad.
Warren, an under-recruited 5-foot-9, 205 pound back, has rushed for more than 200 yards eight straight weeks leading the Leopards to an 11-0 record. He ranks eighth in the nation in rushing yards with 2,426 yards and 29 touchdowns.
"It definitely motivates me to play harder," said Warren of the lack of college offers currently.
Poff and Brown peppered Warren with questions about Utah football, beating perennial national power De La Salle (Concord, Calif.) and who his favorite NFL running back. His answer might surprise you.
The humble back made sure to thank his offensive line and Poff and Brown made sure to make picks on all of the national games of the week.
