Video: Highlights of Allen offensive lineman Greg LittleTom Westerberg, who led
Allen (Texas) to four state titles and enjoyed a record of 148-17 at the Dallas-area power, is leaving to become the new football coach and athletic director at
Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, Texas).
The Barbers Hill superintendent announced the hire on Twitter. It was later reported by Baytown Sun Sports.
Westerberg was nothing short of sensational as a head coach at Allen. In addition to four state titles, he led Allen to a 57-game winning streak, which ended in a Class 6A-I semifinal loss to Westlake (Austin, Texas) last month.
He also guided Allen to a No. 1 finish in the final 2014 Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.
Located east of Houston, Barbers Hill is a Class 5A program. It posted a 4-6 record in 2015.
With tremendous community support, facilities and a huge enrollment, the Allen job opening will surely attract candidates from around the country.

Tom Westerberg accomplished a great deal during his tenure at Allen.
