The Pierz offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. The final score between it and Rockford was a 66 - 0 blowout in Pierz's favor. Pierz's margin of victory (66 points) marked the biggest win the team has had all season. The success catapulted it 15 spots up the power rankings, enough to make it the biggest riser of the week.
This Week's Big Showdown
The clash of the power ranking titans last week was between Minnetonka (13th in the power rankings) and Eden Prairie (2nd). Minnetonka was close but not close enough as it fell 28 - 26 to Burnsville. It wasn't all bad, though, since the team's performance bumped it up two places in the power rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Eden Prairie (2nd in the power rankings) and Edina (7th). The last time they met, Eden Prairie was the 35 - 10 victor. Can it repeat its success? We'll find out this Friday.
