Video: Drew Bledsoe's sons have QB-WR bond
New Northern Arizona commitment threw for over 2,500 yards and 30 TDs as a junior. John Bledsoe, the son of former NFL quarterback Drew Bledsoe, has decided to play college football at Northern Arizona.
Andrew Nemec of OregonLive.com was among those reporting Bledsoe's decision Wednesday.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound quarterback for
Summit (Bend, Ore.) passed for 2,551 yards and 31 touchdowns last season for the Storm, who finished 12-1 and won a Class 5A title. Bledsoe threw for 1,862 yards as a sophomore and 25 touchdowns and in two seasons has rushed for 11 scores.
"I decided to end the recruiting process early because I wanted to focus
on my senior season and not have to stress about my decision," Bledsoe told OregonLive.
Drew Bledsoe, a four-time Pro Bowler who threw for 44,611 yards and 251 touchdowns in a 14-year NFL career, is the offensive coordinator at Summit. He played at Washington State before being drafted first overall in the 1993 draft by the Patriots.
