1. Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth)
Head coach: Ty Nichols
2014-15 record: 26-4

After capturing the Division V state title in 2014-15, winning an Open Division state crown is the next big step for Sierra Canyon. But the Trailblazers' aspirations may even go beyond that. National No. 1 talk will be fueled by a loaded roster that features Top 100-caliber prospects Ira Lee (6-8, Jr., F), Remy Martin (5-11, Jr., G), Devearl Ramsey (5-10, Sr., G) and Cody Riley (6-8, Jr., F). That foursome is surrounded with quality role players like Adam Seiko (6-2, Jr., G), Terrance McBride (6-2, Jr., G) and Michael Feinberg (6-4, So., G/F).

2. Chino Hills
Head coach: Steve Baik
2014-15 record: 17-15

The Huskies will be one of the most interesting acts in all of high school basketball this season. The brother trio of Lonzo Ball (6-6, Sr., G), LiAngelo Ball (6-5, Jr., G) and LaMelo Ball (5-11, Fr., G) – all UCLA commits – blew some of the nation's top prospects off the floor on the summer circuit and look poised to do the same this winter. Lonzo averaged 24.3 points, 11.3 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game as a junior.

3. Mater Dei (Santa Ana)
Head coach: Gary McKnight
2014-15 record: 29-5

The Monarchs return seven key contributors from last year's 29-win team, including Oregon commit MJ Cage (6-9, Sr., F/C), Bailey Stout (6-1, Sr., G) and Harrison Butler (6-4, So., G/F). But the player that could take this Mater Dei squad to another level is transfer Spencer Freedman (5-11, So., G), who was one of the state's top freshmen a year ago at Santa Monica.

4. Centennial (Corona)
Head coach: Josh Giles
2014-15 record: 25-6

Giles returns not just one, but two big men already committed to UCLA – and neither are the team's leading returning scorer. Ike Anigbogu (6-9, Sr., F/C) and Jalen Hill (6-9, Jr., F/C) both pledged to the Bruins over the summer. Meanwhile, Long Beach State commit Jordan Griffin (6-2, Sr., G) is back to lead the backcourt after averaging 13.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game as a junior.

5. Bishop Montgomery (Torrance)
Head coach: Doug Mitchell
2014-15 record: 31-2

The Knights are 91-10 over the past three seasons and should keep rolling in 2015-16 even without MaxPreps All-American Stephen Thompson – now a freshman at Oregon State. Younger brother Ethan Thompson (6-3, Jr., G), along with Jordan Schakel (6-7, Jr., F) and David Singleton (6-1, So., G) give Mitchell a three-headed monster that will be tough to tame.
