The Big 12 has schools in five different states, but most of the players at those schools call the state of Texas home.

According to data provided by High School Athlete College Guide, Texas is home to 561 football players currently playing in the Big 12. That total represents nearly 48 percent of all players in the conference. No other state is within 480 players of Texas as Oklahoma is next with 81 players. Nebraska is third with 79. Those totals represent less than seven percent of the entire conference.

California and Florida, which combine to send over 1,100 players to the Big 10, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC combined, send less than 100 to the Big 12. Florida has 52 players competing in the conference this year while California has 42.
