Video: Struck out all but one in perfect game
See Tessa Cantrell, who led Fort Bend Christian to a state title, fan all but one in a perfect game earlier in the year.
Four softball state champions were crowned by Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) last week at Concordia University in Austin.
Two of the champions successfully defended 2016 state crowns.
Here is a look at the 2017 title games:
Division I: Incarnate Word (San Antonio) 21,
Antonian Prep (San Antonio) 6
Michelle Iparraguire was the winning pitcher and drove in three runs to lead the Shamrocks (25-7).
Analiese Galdeano paced the attack with five hits. Antonian got home runs from
Tori Villarreal and
Emma Richards. Incarnate Word, a 3-0 victor over St. Agnes Academy (Houston) in a semifinal, previously won the state crown in 2016.
