Keith Ownes was already facing the challenge of having to photograph 12 top players from the
DeSoto (Texas) football team, and then came the rain.
Owens, who is based in the Dallas-Forth Worth area and is a member of the MaxPreps Professional Photographers' Network, staged the shoot on campus using the locker room, the weight room and the football stadium as the background for the group and individual photos he took.
And he had to keep adjusting the locations as the rains came and went that day.
"We started to shoot in the locker room and then we got a break in the weather and we took the shoot out to the stadium field," Owens said. "It started to rain again so we returned back inside and finished the shoot in the weight room."
DeSoto kicks off its season on Saturday when it faces Martin at Vernon Newsom Stadium.
