There wasn't a ton of movement in the power rankings this week, but there was certainly enough to keep things interesting. We'll tackle that and more in this week's report.
Welcome
The Wadsworth offense has been a force to be reckoned with this season, and last week was no different. It breezed past Twinsburg with a final score of 54 - 20. Wadsworth was heavily favored coming into this contest, and the results showcase why. Thanks to its success, Wadsworth cracked into the power rankings and now occupies the 22nd spot.
Upcoming Drama
If you are itching to watch a first-rate contest, no game is supposed to fit the bill better than the one between Springfield (25th in the power rankings) and Wayne (11th). Both teams are entering with last-week wins under their belts. Of course, Springfield and Wayne can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Friday which team falters and which extends its success.
Big Showdown
It was a battle of top-notch squads when Centerville (5th in the power rankings) took on Northmont (14th) last week. Centerville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as it fell 21 - 14 to Northmont. As a result, Centerville fell one position in the power rankings.
This Week's Big Showdown
One of the hottest tickets last week involved the clash between Pickerington Central (8th in the power rankings) and Pickerington North (10th). Pickerington Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Pickerington North, sneaking past 24 - 21. Pickerington Central saw its record improve to 7-1 and its power rank jump five places as a result.
