Watch all the explosive plays from seven of college football's elite when they were in high school.

The 2017 Heisman Trophy announcement will be made Dec. 9 on ESPN. No doubt, there will be loads of impressive footage of the finalists from this season.

But there will not be many looks, if any, of their high school days. Not like this. If you think these seven are standouts now, check out how they dominated the prep scene.

Baker Mayfield (Oklahoma quarterback), Lake Travis (Austin, Texas)

The 2013 graduate led Lake Travis to a 25-2 record over two seasons, winning the 2011 Texas 4A state title. He threw for 6,255 career yards, 67 touchdowns and eight interceptions.  He was considered only a 3-star prospect.

Bryce Love (Stanford running back), Wake Forest (N.C.)

The 2015 graduate rushed for 5,372 career yards and 71 touchdowns, including 2,304 yards and 33 scores as a senior. He was also known for his track and field accomplishments, setting national breaking times as a youth sprinter. As a 13/14-year-old competitor, he ran the 100 meters in 10.73 seconds and 21.83 in the 200.

Saquon Barkley (Penn State running back), Whitehall (Pa.)

The 2015 graduate was a 4-star recruit who rushed for 3,646 yards and 63 touchdowns during a three-year varsity career. He committed to Rutgers before flipping to Penn State.

Khalil Tate (Arizona quarterback), Serra (Gardena, Calif.)

The 2016 graduate accounted for more than 4,000 yards and 43 touchdowns as a senior for a school that also produced notable NFL players Robert Woods, Adoree Jackson and Marquise Lee to name a few. 

Jonathan Taylor (Wisconsin running back), Salem (N.J.)

The 2017 graduate rushed for 4,642 yards and 51 touchdowns in his high school career, including 2,815 yards as a freshman. He also originally committed to Rutgers before settling on Wisconsin.

Lamar Jackson (Louisville quarterback), Boynton Beach (Fla.)

The 2015 graduate and reigning Heisman winner was a 4-star recruit out of high school. His prep numbers were pedestrian, throwing for just over 2,000 career yards and and 31 touchdowns. He also rushed for 22 scores.

JT Barrett (Ohio State quarterback), Rider (Wichita Falls, Texas)

The 2013 graduate was a three-sport standout in high school, also playing basketball and running track and field. He accounted for more than 3,100 yards and 23 touchdowns as a junior before his senior year was cut short with an ACL tear.
