Serra (Gardena, Calif.) snapped
Lompoc (Calif.)'s 12-game winning streak, with a 34-21 victory on Saturday.
The Cavaliers were up 24-7 at the half after taking the lead on a field goal by
Ryan Dobson in the second quarter.
Serra saw its 17-point halftime lead fall to 13 entering the fourth.
With the win SHS extended its winning streak to seven games. The Gardena school defeated the Vikings 58-6 last week.
Jalen Greene was the top performer for the Cavaliers. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.
The Braves'
Nikko Hayes played well. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored 17 touchdowns on the season.
Lompoc came in allowing just 6.8 points per game this season. LHS struggled against Serra's offense, which entered the game scoring 35.4 points per game.
The loss comes after Lompoc defeated Culver City 49-6 last week.
