Going into the final week of the regular season, 52 UIL football teams across the six classifications have a chance to complete a perfect regular season.
Over 1,250 Texas schools are competing in UIL football this season.
One team, Class 5A College Station, has already finished its regular season with a 10-0 record and will have an open date on Week 11 to get ready for the playoffs.
Of the six classifications, Class 5A has the most unbeaten teams with 11. Class 2A the fewest with six.
Houston-area teams account for four of the 10 unbeaten teams in Class 6A followed by the Dallas area with three.
In 2015, eight of the 12 state champions were unbeaten in the regular season.
Because of games cancelled by weather issues, not all unbeaten teams will play a 10-game regular season.
A breakdown of this year's undefeated teams by classification and region:
Class 6A -- Region I: Allen, DeSoto, San Angelo Central; Region II: Cedar Ridge (Round Rock), Sachse, The Woodlands; Region III: Alief Taylor, Cypress Ranch (Houston), Ridge Point (Missouri City); Region IV: San Benito.
Class 5A -- Region I: Aledo, Canutillo, Richland (North Richland Hills), Ryan (Denton), South Hills (Fort Worth); Region II: Texas (Texarkana); Region III: Cedar Park, College Station, Manvel, Memorial (Port Arthur); Region IV: Foster (Richmond).
Aledo is one of 52 UIL teams in Texas with a chance to go unbeaten in the regular season.
