New York places 86 on 2012 NISCA All-American Swimming list

With the U.S. Olympic swimming team nearing the Olympics, the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association recently released its list of high school All-Americans.

The lists compile the top 100 performances in each event during the recently completed school year. New York is 14th nationally in the number of athletes, while California came in at No. 1 with 750 honorees.

Led by Patrick Conaton of Fordham Prep and Kina Zhou of Niskayuna, New York had 49 boys All-Americans and 37 girls honorees, respectively.
