Video: Football by the beach
See just how close the football stadium is to the ocean at Wai'anae High School.Pull out a pitching wedge, wiggle it a couple times and let ‘er loose. If you hit a golf ball from one end zone at
Wai'anae (Hawaii) High School, you'll probably launch it into the Pacific Blue.
But Hawaiians aren't thinking golf. It's already high school football season and the Rainbow State kicked off the 2015 prep gridiron season last week.
Wai'anae dropped a 33-13 home opener against
Kamehameha (Honolulu), but the view from any seat was a sight to behold. At least for us mainlanders.
Wai'anae travels to Moanalu on Friday and Kamehameha hosts Baldwin on Saturday in what will already be the second week of Hawaii's prep football season.
