As the playoffs for girls basketball in Texas inch closer, some players are putting up some large stats. MaxPreps breaks down the top five athletes in the state and where they rank nationally in major statistical categories.
POINTS PER GAMEAlexis Morris, Sr., Legacy Christian Academy (Beaumont), No. 11Morris is tops in the state at 31.3 points per game. She's scored 35 or more points eight times this season and 50-plus in two games. She's shooting 56 percent from the field.
Chasity Patterson, Sr., North Shore (Houston), No. 20Patterson is about as well rounded as a player you'll find, averaging 29.3 points, 4.8 assists, 6 rebounds and 5.3 steals per game. She's tallied 40 or more points in four games this year.
Carrie Johnson, Fr., Ben Bolt, No. 51The freshman has scored 30-plus points in eight games this season and is averaging 26.1 points. She scored a career-high 36 points in her third varsity start.
Cara Citty, Sr., Poetry Community Christian (Poetry), No. 52Citty has scored 24-plus points in 10 of the 11 games she's played this season. She's averaging 25.7 points per game after scoring 12.6 as a sophomore.

REBOUNDS PER GAMEStephani Hernandez, Sr., Ben Bolt, No. 9Astonishingly, Hernandez is only listed at 5-foot-7 but averages 17.4 rebounds per game. She has 20 or more boards in six games and even has two 29-rebound outings this season.
Ebbony Cobbins, Jr., Pewitt (Omaha), No. 33Cobbins is pulling down 15.5 rebounds per night despite her 5-foot-6 frame. She has bumped up her average a bit recently, grabbing 19 boards a game in a during a three-contest stretch.
Ariana Taylor, Jr., Wheatley (Houston), No. 38Taylor is getting 15 rebounds per game this season. Twice this year, she has had more rebounds than her team's opponents have had points, including a 27-board night.
Sydnee Wynn, Sr., Eustace, No. 49Wynn is enjoying a strong season, averaging 14.4 rebounds and 18.8 points per game. She's logged two contests with 27 rebounds.
Alyssa Adams, Sr., Johnson (San Antonio), No. 70Adams is averaging 13.7 rebounds a night and has been in double figures on the glass in 26 of her team's 29 games.

Brylee Behrens, Fr., Timpson, No. 11Another freshman at the top of the list, Behrens' stat line this season is impressive: 11.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 3.8 steals. She has four games of double digit stats and is averaging 11 dishes in her last three games.
Jasmine Smith, Jr., Kinkaid (Houston), No. 35After tallying 24 assists in the first two games of the season, Smith has cooled down. Just a little, though. She's still averaging 6.9 assists per contest.
Marissa Banfield, Sr., Westbury Christian (Houston), No. 39Banfield has five games of nine or more assists and is averaging 6.7 assists to go along with 16 points.
Reagan Montgomery, Sr., Whitney, No. 51Montgomery has games of 14 and 13 assists, respectively, this season.
STEALS PER GAMEAlexus Jones, Sr., Grace Prep (Arlington), No. 30In six games this year, Jones has eight or more steals, and is averaging 7.1. Remarkably, against Calvary Christian on Dec. 16, Jones' steals total (17) surpassed the opponent's total points (14).
T'Aira Boyance, So., Cristo Rey Jesuit (Houston), No. 38Boyance has eight or more steals in five of the 10 games she's played in this season. She has 25 assists in her past three games.
Miannah Little, Fr., Connally (Waco), No. 46This little freshman thief, who is just 5-foot-4, is averaging 6.5 steals per game. She has four games of double-digit steals, including 12 in early December.
McKenzie Hahn, Sr., Orange Grove, No. 56Hahn has 13 games this season with she seven or more steals. She's averaging 6.4 a game after get 4 a game as a junior.
Audrey Warren, Jr., Boswell (Fort Worth), No. 65Warren has four double-digit steal games this season and is averaging 6.2. She is also scoring 21.1 points per night.
