The 6-foot-6, 220-pound senior from
Centennial (Corona, Calif.) just announced on national television that he will sign his letter of intent to the Cardinal.
McKee thanked Centennial coach Matt Logan, the school, administrators and teammates before making the announcement. Asked why he picked Stanford, McKee said: "Stanford obviously offers once of the best educations in the world," he said. "I just felt a great fit. I related well with all those guys."
Immediately after making the announcement, the Centennial band played the Huskies' fight song.
McKee completed 370-of-538 passes for 6,385 yards, 68 touchdowns and 10 touchdowns in his four-year career with Huskies, the last two as starter. He missed five games as a senior with an ankle injury and concussion.
Though superb in the pocket, McKee also rushed for 1,288 yards and 26 touchdowns over two seasons. He is ranked the No. 46 recruit overall in the country by 247Sports composite.
McKee said he won't play college football until 2020, after finishing his Latter-day Saints two-year mission.
