David Wingett of
Winnebago (Neb.) has emerged as one of the best unknown dunkers in high school basketball. That's no joke.
Wingate delivered an impressive and timely two-handed poster dunk for today's Top Play presented by the United States Coast Guard.
With the time winding down in the third quarter, the 6-foot-7, 185-pound senior went back door and turned a broken play into a top play, with a strong two-hand jam while being fouled.
Wingett is actually well known around Nebraska. He averages a hefty 24.7 points, 10.6 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game for the 26-2 Indians, ranked 14th in the state. Earlier this season, Wingett sent down what was known around the Internet as the "Donkey Dunk," which gained a lot of attention.
Even with a bag over his head, folks around the Cornhusker State would likely recognize him.
