West jumped into the top 25 in the state rankings. West moved up from No. 31 in the state all the way to No. 18 thanks to a 1-1 record over the past week. Led by manager Todd Reed, the Vikings are ranked No. 1590 in the nation with an overall record of 12-11.
Dylan Christie was the best pitcher in Sunflower this week, leading
South. He won zero games and struck out four batters.
The Raiders' pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only six hits and two walks, both of which led the league. South has given up a mere 183 hits on the year, while striking out 93 opposing hitters. Christie is the leader in that category with 32 Ks on the season.
Dylan Christie drove in six runners as South defeated South 8-4 on Wednesday.
