Colerain (Cincinnati) was the only new team to jump into this week's Composite Top 25 rankings as the Cardinals continued to steamroll opponents and look to close out the regular season unbeaten this week against Lakota West (West Chester, Ohio). Colerain clinched at least a share of the Greater Miami Conference league title
with last week's in and notched its 74th
straight league win and 19th consecutive league title.
The top five teams kept bulldozing their way toward postseason as No. 1 St. John Bosco hammered Santa Margarita (Calif.) to clinch at least a share of the Trinity League title, while No. 2 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) bounced back from its loss to the Braves with a 42-7 win over JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.).
Only schools recognized by two or more media outlets are eligible for
inclusion in the composite rankings. Teams were assigned a score of 40
for each media outlet that did not recognize them as part of their Top
25, rewarding teams that received consensus acclaim.
