Who's got the ultimate bragging rights when it comes to sending players to the NFL from the high school ranks in Nevada?

To find out, MaxPreps and Lateral Sports teamed up and found the alma mater of every player on an NFL roster as of opening day (we included suspended and injured reserve players). Then we broke it all down by state and came up with the table below.

You will find that Nevada has sent 11 players to the league this season, and it's of little surprise that Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) leads the way with three players.

Want some more fun facts? How about these:

- When you break down the state by north vs. south, eight come from the Las Vegas area and three are from Reno-located schools.

- The state doesn't specialize in one specific position or group. It's an array of positions player, though linebacker is the most popular position with three players.

- In a way, Nevada players stick together. The Titans, Ravens, Broncos and Lions all have two Nevada players on their rosters.

- Seven NFL teams have players from Nevada high schools on their rosters aside from the aforementioned teams. The rest are the Steelers, Chiefs and Bills.

- Bishop Gorman had a pair of future NFL players on the 2008 and 2009 squads. Ronnie Stanley and Xavier Grimble teamed to help the Gaels go 12-2 in 2008 with a state runner-up finish and then a perfect 15-0 in 2009.
