The Colorado softball season ended Saturday at Aurora Sports Park, as champions were crowned in each of the three classifications.
After ousting five-time defending champion Legacy (Broomfield) in the semifinals,
Loveland won its second Class 5A state title with a 3-1 victory against
Dakota Ridge (Littleton). Ryan Casey of The Denver Post

In Class 4A, top-seeded
Pueblo East capped an unbeaten season with a 4-2 victory against
Niwot to win its first state championship.

Strasburg went extra innings to also win its first title. The Indians needed nine innings to beat
Valley (Gilcrest) 3-2, to deny the Vikings their third consecutive championship in Class 3A. Neil Devlin of The Denver Post
