Video: Max Johnson Ultimate HighlightsSecond-generation QB showed plenty of promise leading Oconee County junior varsity last fall.
Former NFL quarterback Brad Johnson was under center when the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won their only Super Bowl title in 2003.
The two-time Pro Bowl selection is now a proud papa with son
Max Johnson – also a quarterback – beginning to earn major Division I attention. Auburn, Florida State, Georgia and LSU are among the nine programs to already extend an offer to the 6-foot-3, 191-pound rising sophomore.
Max only attempted 19 passes (for 119 yards with a touchdown) at the varsity level last fall for
Oconee County (Watkinsville, Ga.), but flashed plenty of promise on the JV team. The lefty has a big arm with plenty of touch as seen in the video above.
Florida State might be one to watch in Johnson's recruitment. His father played there under Bobby Bowden and he's already attended Junior Day and a summer camp there according to

Max Johnson attempted just 19 passes as a freshman last fall but should see his role increase as a sophomore.
