The day after he was announced as one of the 13 greatest defensive backs on NFL Network's Top 100 All-Time Team, Sanders led the Tigers (13-1) to a third straight Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) title Friday with a 48-13 Division 2 finals win over the Regents (Austin) Knights (11-2).

Shedeur Sanders was running the offense for the Tigers. He threw three touchdown passes giving him 47 on the season, two of them late in the fourth quarter.
The younger Sanders entered his brilliant junior season on Friday with 225 completions in 304 attempts for 3,278 yards and 44 touchdowns against just four interceptions. He also had run for 215 yards (including sacks) and 11 touchdowns.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder has 18 college offers, according to 247Sports, including ones from Alabama, Florida and his dad's alma mater, Florida State. He entered Friday's game with 8,726 career passing yards, 120 touchdowns and 19 interceptions, to go along with 19 rushing touchdowns.

Beyond the numbers, the three straight championships is what Deion Sanders said his son should be most proud of. The Tigers are 39-2 since dad has been the team's offensive coordinator and Shedeur the quarterback.

reported on Oct. 30 that Trinity Christian is leaving TAPPS at the end
of the school year on the heels of its boys and girls basketball team
being banned from postseason play.
In Friday's championship game, Trinity Christian jumped out early to take a 14-0 lead on two
Emari Matthews touchdowns runs.
Regents closed to 14-13 by halftime, but Sanders completed a 4-yard TD pass to
Elijah Yelverton to finish off a 20-0 third-quarter run to take a commanding 34-13 into the fourth quarter.
Desmond Moultrie had a 40-yard TD run and
Makii Lewis added a scoop-and-score during the flurry.
Sanders added two more touchdown passes in the fourth quarter to
Amiri Crowder.
