Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.) lost to
Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), 32-21.
The Lancers pulled ahead on a touchdown run by
Tavi Jimmerson, and subsequently went into halftime leading 21-20. The Monarchs took the lead for good with a touchdown catch by
Team Team in the third quarter.
Luke Langdon made a difference for Orange Lutheran. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.
Mater Dei's most effective player was Team. He ran for one touchdown, caught three touchdowns and kicked two extra points.
OL came in allowing just 15.4 points per game this season. The Orange school struggled against MD, which came in averaging 32.0 points per game.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which the Lancers took, 28-0.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Santa Ana school, which lost to St. John Bosco last week, 27-19.
Mater Dei (7-2) will play a Trinity game against Servite next week, while Orange Lutheran (6-3) will take on JSerra Catholic also in a Trinity game.
