With four ranked teams losing over the weekend, there are a slew of newcomers into this week's MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings.
Starkville (Miss.), Alemany (Calif.), Punahou (Hawaii) and La Salle (Ohio) all make their first appearance in the rankings this season after navigating the season's first six weeks without a loss.
Starkville, which enters the rankings at No. 22, has been particularly impressive, outscoring opponents 259-58 on the season.
Don Bosco Prep and Bishop Gorman remain No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Don Bosco Prep will be tested this week with a game against No. 20 Paramus Catholic while Bishop Gorman will continue the in-state portion of its schedule.

1. (1) Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), 3-0Idle.
2. (2) Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas), 7-0Against its first Nevada opponent, Bishop Gorman beat Shadow Ridge 56-0.
3. (3) Washington (Miami), 6-0Idle.
4. (4) De La Salle (Concord, Calif.), 6-0The Spartans continue to roll. This week, they downed San Ramon Valley 70-14.
5. (5) Allen (Texas), 6-0Allen easily beat Lewisville, 49-13.

No. 4 De La Salle rolled to yet another solid victory to remain undefeated.
