The Wolves knocked off Enterprise in the Division 3 final and reached the second round of the NorCal Regionals with a group that did not have a senior in the starting lineup. All-section center
Sophie Wood led the team in scoring last year as a freshman with 12.6 points per game. Four other players all averaged around five points per game, including senior
Alli Hoff,
Bekah Boyle and
Molly Ross, plus sophomore
Cate Walton.

2. Pleasant Valley (Chico)

2014-15 record: 21-7
The Vikings have three returning starters from last year's team that won the Division 2 section championship. Included in that group is sophomore
Sirena Tuitele, a 6-foot center who earned all-section honors last year after averaging 14.7 points per game. She's joined by junior guard
Kayla Joyce (9.6 ppg) and senior guard
Brianna Souza (9.0).

One year after reaching the NorCal championship game, Enterprise lost to Shasta in the finals of the Northern Section Division 3 playoffs to mark an early end to its season. The Hornets have averaged 23 wins a season under Hermann in his six years at the helm and he returns one of the top point guards in the state in
Kamira Sanders. The three-time all-section pick has scored 1,670 career points and averaged 20.4 per game last year. Four out of five starters return from last year's squad, but Sanders was the only player to average more than 10 points per game.

The Falcons went from back-to-back eight-win seasons to a 25-6 record and a Northern Section Division 4 championship in 2015. The Falcons returns all five starters, including junior
Tayah Ranney, who made 97 3-pointers last year and averaged 14.9 points per game.
Sheleah Stephens, a senior forward, also returns after averaging 1.9 points and 7.3 rebounds last year.

The Cougars finished well below .500 last year, but they return every player on the roster.
Hannah Edwards, a junior, is back at guard after averaging 10.8 points per game while fellow junior guard
Rikki Sherman is back after averaging 8.8 points. Foothill reached the semifinals of the Division 3 section playoffs last year before falling to Enterprise.
