With new CBA on the horizon, here are candidates from the Class of 2024, 2025 who could declare for the NBA Draft out of high school

As reported by Shams Charania earlier this week, a new collective bargaining agreement between the NBA and NBPA could include moving the draft age eligibility from 19 years old to 18 years. That would give players the option of throwing their name in the hat for draft consideration directly out of high school.

Although this rule would not impact current seniors, classes beginning with 2024 would be eligible to enter the NBA Draft directly out of high school if the current one-and-done rule is amended as reported.

Current high school standouts like Cameron Boozer, Cooper Flagg, Ian Jackson and Tre Johnson are the names that appear to fit this billing the most. We took a more in-depth look at 10 names that could make the jump in the coming years. Flory Bidunga, Kokomo (Ind.)

Rundown: Elite post presence is dominant on both sides of the ball, averaging 17.5 points, 13.3 rebounds and 5.3 blocks as a sophomore. Bidunga posted 32 points, 20 rebounds and 11 blocks in a single game last season and is currently regarded as the No. 4 prospect in the Class of 2024 according to 247Sports.

Rundown: Top prospect regardless of classification had a masterful freshman campaign, averaging 18.9 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.2 blocks to lead the Explorers to the state title in Florida's highest classification. Barring injury, Boozer looks the part of the top overall pick when he declares for the NBA Draft.

Rundown: Although Cayden doesn't get as much hype as his brother, his game speaks for itself as he averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds last season to earn first team MaxPreps Freshman All-America honors. Often overlooked in his development is the potential for a growth spurt to reach the height of his brother and father.

Rundown: Displayed flashes of his elite potential last season as a sophomore, averaging 13.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists to earn second team MaxPreps Freshman All-America honors. Although Cunningham announced he would be joining the Overtime Elite program this summer, his high school and college eligibility remain intact.

Rundown: Captured MaxPreps Maine Player of the Year honors as a freshman last season after averaging 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 3.7 steals and 3.7 blocks to guide Nokomis to the Class A state title. Flagg established himself as one of the top prospects in high school basketball this spring and summer with the team USA U17 National Team and on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Rundown: Had a breakout summer on the Nike EYBL circuit, rising from the No. 37 overall prospect in the Class of 2024 to the No. 5 spot in the most recent rankings update. Harper displayed the ability to score and impact the game in a variety of ways for the NY Rens 16U squad, leading them to the Peach Jam title game this summer.

Rundown: Earned MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year honors after averaging 19.8 points, five rebounds and four assists to guide the Cardinals to the CHSAA Class AA state title and No. 7 spot in the MaxPreps Top 25. Jackson is one of the most lethal scorers in high school hoops, with the ability to fill it up on all three levels.

Tre Johnson, Lake Highlands (Dallas, Texas)

Rundown: Recently edged out Jackson for the top spot in the Class of 2024 after displaying his elite scoring package that is developed well beyond his years. Johnson is a must-see talent that has the potential to be the top overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft should he declare out of high school. Johnson averaged 23.7 points and 5.7 rebounds in Texas' highest classification.

Rundown: Earned second team MaxPreps Freshman All-America honors last season after averaging 20.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists for Riverview Sarasota. Widely regarded as a top 10 prospect in the Class of 2025, Jones will showcase his talents in the NIBC this season for a reloaded Ascenders unit.

Rundown: Versatile forward prospect helped Perry capture its first Class 6A state title as a freshman, averaging 15.6 points and 6.3 rebounds. Peat played two age groups up with the Compton Magic on the Adidas 3SSB circuit and captured a gold medal with the team USA U17 National Team during the spring and summer and displayed the ability to compete at a high level against top competition.
