John Curtis Christian has won four state championships in the last 10 years, making its case as Louisiana's most dominant high school football program over that span.

Using a points system based on four factors listed below, the Patriots amassed 315 points from 2010 to 2019 to edge Edna Karr, which finished second with 302 points.  

John Curtis Christian won state titles in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2018 and was ranked among the Top 10 teams in the state all 10 years, including No. 1 in 2018.

Edna Karr won five state titles and placed second four times over an impressive decade.

Our methodology includes:

• Top 25 finishes in the MaxPreps state computer rankings (25 points awarded to the No. 1 team, 24 for No. 2 and so on).

• Top 25 finishes in the MaxPreps national computer rankings (50 points for No. 1, 49 for No. 2 and so on).

• State championships (20 points).

• State championship game appearances (10 points).
