Robin Reynolds of
Jackson (Miami) dominated the District 15-2A track meet at Traz Powell Stadium by winning four events.
The meet was delayed for almost 90 minutes due to rain and lightning. Even so, the final four races had to be run in drizzle and windy conditions.

The multi-talented senior, who has signed with the University of Florida, won the 100-meter dash in 12.06 seconds, the 200 in 24.35, the 400 in 54.58 and the long jump with a leap of 19 feet, 5.75 inches.
Reynolds' outstanding effort paced the Jackson girls to the team title with 220 points. The Jackson boys also won the team title with 184 points.
* Abraham Hall of
South Grand Prairie (Texas) gave track fans a thrill when he was clocked in a near world-record time of 9.74 seconds for the 100 during the District 5-5A meet in Duncanville, Texas. The world record is 9.58 and the national prep record is 10.01.
However, due to a problem with the starter's gun, the automatic timing system did not work during his race, so the clocking was hand-held and wind-aided. Officials estimated that his time probably was about 10.2 or 10.3 - still an outstanding effort. A senior committed to Army, Hall has been hampered by injuries, but now is healthy. Stay tuned.
