One of the nation's top three-sport athletes, Mahomes' dad, also named Patrick, was a Major League pitcher for 11 seasons. The younger Mahomes was a state MVP in football after throwing for 4,619 yards and 50 touchdowns, and was also a district MVP in basketball, after averaging over 17 points and eight rebounds a game. In baseball, Mahomes was All-State honorable mention as a junior and has already thrown one no-hitter as a senior.
