Here's a look at developments that shaped this week's Top 25:

Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) conquered the "Springfield Double" this weekend by winning the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions in Springfield, Mo., then traveling to Springfield, Mass., to win its highly anticipated matchup with University (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) 83-69 at the Spalding Hoophall Classic.

In Missouri, the Warriors took down Ozark (Ozark, Mo.) 84-65, Webster Groves (Mo.) 73-62 and La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.) 78-70 en route to a third Bass Pro title in four years.

Three Oak Hill seniors make the all-tournament team, led by 6-foot-5 Florida commit Keyontae Johnson (tournament MVP), Kentucky-bound Keldon Johnson and future Kansas Jayhawk big man David McCormack.
Toughest conference in America

The Washington County Athletic Conference (WCAC) annually draws consideration as the toughest high school basketball league in the country. This year is no different. The WCAC features three ranked teams and made a statement over the weekend at the Hoophall Classic. DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) annihilated Archbishop Molloy (Queens, N.Y.) 86-56 and Gonzaga (Washington, D.C.) defeated Sacred Heart (Waterbury, Conn.) in dominant fashion 86-51.

With conference play coming into focus, the monster matchups are already underway. Last week, Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.) handed Gonzaga its first loss of the season Tuesday. Two days later, Gonzaga took down DeMatha 71-62.

This week, DeMatha will face off against Paul VI on Tuesday in a crucial early season game between two of the favorites to capture the coveted WCAC crown.

Stars shine at Hoophall Classic

The aforementioned Hoophall Classic didn't disappoint as the stars were shining bright and Top 25 teams were flexing their muscles.

Saturday action saw Top 25 schools Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia) and Gonzaga start the day by blowing out local competition and ended with a trio of thrilling finishes.

Oak Ridge (Orlando, Fla.) took down previously ranked Roselle Catholic (Roselle, N.J.) 80-69. Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) held on and downed a scrappy Simeon (Chicago) 62-60 before the nightcap featuring Zion Williamson of Spartanburg Day (Spartanburg, S.C.), who finished with 36 points in a televised 70-64 loss to Chino Hills (Calif.) on ESPN.

In action Sunday, the biggest upset of the event took place as Mount St. Joseph (Baltimore) hammered previously ranked Ranney (Tinton Falls, N.J.) 71-48 behind 23 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks from 6-foot-10 senior Jalen Smith.

Bol Bol led Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) to an easy 91-47 win over Immaculate Conception (Montclair, N.J.) with 31 points, five assists and four blocks.

Monday started with Webster Groves 6-8 senior Carte'Are Gordon dropping 31 points, 11 boards and seven blocks in a 90-75 win over previously unbeaten Mt. Vernon (N.Y.).

Future Oregon Duck Louis King put up 32 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Hudson Catholic (Jersey City, N.J.), a 71-58 winner over John Carroll (Bel Air, Md.).

Unbeaten Montverde Academy and Oak Hill Academy capped the day with impressive wins.

Flyin' to the Hoop

National powers McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.) and Prolific Prep Academy (Napa, Calif.) both had strong showings in Ohio, going 2-0 over the weekend.

Prolific Prep picked up quality wins over IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) 75-71 and previously unbeaten Garfield Heights (Ohio) 71-43.

McEachern took down two local powers, defeating Trotwood-Madison (Trotwood, Ohio) 87-77 and Pickerington Central (Pickerington, Ohio) 76-52.

Other notable results from the event include Findlay Prep slipping by Huntington St. Joseph Prep (Huntington, W. Va.) 50-48 and La Lumiere taking down Aspire Academy (Louisville, Ky.) 70-67.
