It's now official. The spring season has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Arizona Interscholastic Association just announced.
From an AIA press release:
Arizona governor Doug Ducey announced today the cessation of all
on-campus learning at the state’s schools through the spring semester.
This decision includes all school-sponsored extracurricular sports and
activities. As such, the remainder of the AIA spring season and
championships have been cancelled.
"This is an unfortunate circumstance for all of our member schools,
students and coaches,” said AIA Executive Director David Hines. “We know
this decision was a hard one, but one that was necessary to assist in
the well-being of everyone across Arizona. We hope everyone stays
healthy and focused on what the next chapter will bring.”

Like the rest of the nation, Arizona and the Arizona Interscholastic Association was forced to further postpone the spring athletic season indefinitely.
A release from the AIA on Friday:
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey recently announced that all statewide schools will be closed through Friday, April 10. With this directive, the AIA and its Executive Board must abide by this decision and require that all AIA member schools not partake in interscholastic competition until further notified.
The spring sports championships are still not cancelled at this point. However, discussions for the administration of any postseason tournaments will not take place until after schools are back in session.
The AIA will continue to monitor the communications from the governor's office and make decisions accordingly. In the meantime, we want all of our student-athletes, coaches and teachers to stay safe and follow all health department advisories.ALL-STATE: The MaxPreps All-State/Top 15 basketball players team, presented by Suddenlink.
The girls team was led by Player of the Year

STATE CHAMPIONS: Arizona was one of the few states that got its state basketball championships in before the coronavirus pandemic was pronounced.
The boys champions were Desert Vista (6A), Ironwood (5A), Salpoint Catholic (4A), American Leadership Academy (3A), Rancho Solano Prep (2A) and Fort Thomas (1A).
The girls champions were Valley Vista (6A), Millennium (5A), Seton Catholic (4A), Sabino (3A), Thatcher (2A) and Rock Point (1A).
