Cooper Flagg had an impressive outing in Malaga, Spain Friday morning as he finished with game highs of 18 points and 11 rebounds along with four assists, three steals and three blocks in a 106-80 victory over Serbia to send the USA Men's U17 National Team to the 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup semifinals.
Despite trailing for the first time in the tournament, the deficit was short-lived as team USA went on an 11-0 run to end the first quarter with a 26-18 lead and didn't trailed for the remainder of the contest.
Flagg has been impressive across five games in Spain, averaging 10.0 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 2.2 assists for team USA. See highlights from his freshman year at

He was named MaxPreps Maine Player of the Year last season after averaging 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 3.7 steals and 3.7 blocks to lead Nokomis (21-2) to the Class A state title.
The highly-regarded 6-foot-8 Class of 2025 forward announced he would be attending three-time defending national champion
Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.) next season for his sophomore year.
