Keyshawn Johnson Jr., the son of former NFL great by the same name, won't be following dad's footsteps to college.
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound four-star wide receiver from
Calabasas (Calif.) has picked Nebraska a short time ago as his college choice.
Thought he didn't pick his dad's school — USC — the former All-Pro receiver's position coach Mike Riley is the head coach at Nebraska.
"He (Riley) has had success throughout his career," Johnson Jr. told 247Sports. "Coach Riley did that for my dad so I feel like he'd be able to do that for me. I had a chance to work with wide receivers coach Keith Williams at camp and he coaches me like my dad does. That's how I like to be coached."
Johnson Jr. had 68 catches for 944 yards and six touchdowns last season at Calabasas. He started his prep career at Mission Viejo.
