Kyle McCord capped an impressive three-year run as starting quarterback with a record of 44-3 and 17 consecutive victories. He completed 21 of 28 passes for 337 yards and four touchdowns in the state title game triumph.
In a peculiar year, St. Joseph's Prep captured its fifth state title since 2013 despite facing many scheduling challenges due to the Philadelphia Catholic League canceling its fall season. In Class 2A, Southern Columbia Area (Catawissa) captured its fourth consecutive state title and 60th consecutive win. Head coach Jim Roth also became Pennsylvania's all-time winningest coach with victory No. 456 in Saturday's state championship game.
