Hylton (Woodbridge, Va.) is giving fans of the program another reason for optimism.
The 5-foot-9, 185-pound senior had an impressive performance Friday night, running 13 times for 353 and reaching the end zone eight times in a variety of ways. Hylton beat Charles J. Colgan (Manassas) 64-35.
According to InsideNova.com, Slade hit paydirt five times on the ground, returned two kickoffs for a score and caught a touchdown pass. The site reports that he also had an eight-touchdown game as a freshman.
Slade is regarded as the No. 27 overall recruit in the Class of 2017 by
247Sports.
