247SportsOregon received a commitment from
King (Detroit, Mich.) quarterback
Dante Moore on Friday.
The Composite five-star announced his choice on SportsCenter. Moore's commitment is a major coup for the Ducks. He was the top uncommitted quarterback and was also considering Texas A&M, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame and others.
Head coach Dan Lanning and offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham were two of the staff members than Moore built relationships with that made a difference down the stretch of his recruitment.
"Them being a young coaching staff, Coach Lanning coming from a national championship at Georgia, so he knows what it takes to get to a championship level," Moore said. "Coach Dillingham is a great offensive coordinator, our bond is real crazy. Getting to meet each other, we just talked about football, talked about life and talked about the playmakers -- you can see the receivers in this class that they are recruiting and the offensive linemen that once they start picking up, Oregon is going to be a big shock to the world."
