Video: Massive expectations for Sierra Canyon Two-time defending state champs have assembled most star-studded roster yet.
A crowd of approximately 12,000 filled the lower bowl at American Airlines Center – home of the Dallas Mavericks – eager to catch a glimpse of the most popular team in high school basketball.
The Trailblazers led for the majority of the contest, but the Panthers kept within striking distance throughout and nearly pulled off the upset behind a strong fourth quarter surge.

Five-star Kentucky pledge
Brandon Boston, Jr. led Sierra Canyon with 24 points and 10 rebounds in the huge early season victory for the two-time defending Open Division state champions.
Sierra Canyon (4-0) will host Granada Hills Charter on Dec. 3, while Duncanville (5-2) will look to recover from back-to-back losses against Orr (Chicago) at the Chicago Elite Classic on Dec. 6.
