Bishop Moore High School's girls volleyball team cruised to a 5-0 record and did not drop a game in the "Dig For Pink" tournament at the Orlando Sports Center.
As a result, the Hornets remained atop the MaxPreps Xcellent 25 National Volleyball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

Lindsey Owens (Virginia Tech commit) was selected as the tournament MVP. She finished with seven kills, eight digs and two aces in the final. Hornets senior outside hitter
Danielle Glinka (Dartmouth commit) made the all-tournament team.
Earlier this season, Bishop Moore won the prestigious Tampa Berkeley Prep Premier event on Sept. 22. That was the last time the Hornets lost a game. They are 23-0 and have won 55 of their last 57 matches.
Marymount (Los Angeles) moved back into the Top 25 at No. 20 by winning the ASICS California Challenge in San Diego. Marymount, 7-2 in duals, defeated No. 3 Torrey Pines (2-0) in the semi-finals and Mater Dei (Santa Anna), also 2-0, in the finals.
Ashlie Williams was named tournament MVP.
New Braunfels (Texas) moved into the Top 25 for the first time. The Unicorns have won 11 in a row since losing Sept. 4.

(2) Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, Neb.), 30-1The Titans haven't looked back since losing to Assumption on Sept. 26, winning 15 straight. The Titans face 29-2 Marian on Tuesday. In Nebraska state polls, Marian is ranked No. 2 behind the Titans, who have not lost a game since Sept. 26.
3. (3) Torrey Pines (San Diego), 13-2Though 11-1 in dual matches, Torrey Pines lost to Marymount, 2-0 (29-27 and 25-10) and finished third at their own California Challenge. Torrey Pines hosts Westview and Poway this week.
4. (4) Assumption (Louisville, Ky.), 34-2The Rockets finished the regular season at 33-2, then beat Male (27-9) to win the District 26 title. Only 2012 losses are to No. 3 Torrey Pines. In upcoming Regional 7 play, the Rockets will play 24-8 DuPont Manual and 18-15 Christian Academy-Louisville.
5. (5) Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, Calif.), 18-0Mitty won the Presentation Panther Tournament and beat No. 25 St. Francis (Sacramento) in finals, 2-0. Mitty tournament opponents had a record of 85-20. Up next are road matches at 23-5 Valley Christian (San Jose) and 12-5 St. Francis (Mountain View).
6. (6) Lafayette (Wildwood, Mo.), 25-0The Lancers continue their amazing run — not losing a single game all season. With 2-0 wins over Cor Jesu Academy (St. Louis) and Northwest (House Springs), the Lancers have won all 50 games this season. Incarnate Wood Academty (St. Louis) visits the Lancers on Tuesday.
7. (7) Mount Notre Dame (Cincinnati), 22-0 In improving to 22-0, MND recorded a pair of 3-0 wins over McAuley (Cincinnati) and Lakota East (Liberty Township). Postseason play begins this week.

8. (8) Doherty (Colorado Springs, Colo.), 16-0Last week, the Spartans beat Palmer (Colorado Springs) and Coronado (Colorado Springs) and have won 43 of 46 games this season.
9. (9) Carmel (Ind.), 31-1The Greyhounds have won 12 straight since their only loss this season and have not lost a game in the process. Recent dual wins were over Westfield (16-2), Zionsville (14-7) and 14-7 Bloomington South. Carmel captured its own tournament title by winning all matches, 3-0. The Greyhounds host North Central (Indianapolis) on Tuesday.
10. (10) Barnstable (Hyannis, Mass.), 8-0 With two dual victories, the Red Raiders ran their win streak to 33 and host 11-2 Hopkington tonight.
11. (11) Lakeville North (Lakeville, Minn.), 17-1Lakeville North is 25-1 after a pair of 3-0 wins last week. Up next for the Panthers is Eagan (17-2) on Tuesday. The Panthers only loss is by forfeit.
12. (12) Punahou (Honolulu), 10-1The Blue and Gold beat Kamehameha 3-0 and visit Iolani (17-9) on Tuesday.
13. (13) Carroll (Southlake, Texas), 39-3 The Dragons have won 25 straight since losing earlier this season. Their most recent win was coach Arthur Stanfield's 905th career win. The Dragons visit 19-5 Keller on Tuesday, then host Northwest (Justin) on Friday.
14. (14) Horizon (Scottsdale, Ariz.), 34-3In outscoring a pair of opponents 150-69, the Huskies improved to 34-3 and coach Valorie McKenzie closes in on 750 career wins. HHS hosts Phoenix opponent North Canyon on Tuesday and visits Pinnacle on Thursday.
15. (15) Reagan (San Antonio), 37-2The Rattlers ran their win streak to 23 with wins over San Antonio rivals Madison and MacArthur. They host San Antonio foe Johnson on Tuesday and visit 28-10 Churchill on Friday.
16. (16) Redondo Union (Redondo Beach, Calif.), 22-3The Sea Hawks continue to roll with wins over West (Torrance) and Mira Costa (Manhattan Beach). They travel to Palos Verdes on Oct. 23.
17. (17) Coppell (Texas), 37-3The Cowgirls are 37-3 after dispatching Flower Mound (28-7). They visit 15-11 Marcus (Flower Mound) on Tuesday and host Ryan (Denton) on Friday.

22. (22) Leesville Road (Raleigh, N.C.) 20-0The Pride won on Senior Night, 3-1, over Millbrook (Raleigh), then blanked Heritage (Wake Forest), 3-0. The Cap 8 Conference tournament opens this week.
23. (21) Mt. Carmel (New Orleans, La.), 20-1-1The Cubs lost to 17-2-1 St. Mary's Dominican, 3-1, but bounced back with a 3-0 wins over West Jefferson (Harvey) and Ursuline Academy (New Orleans). A rematch with St. Mary's is scheduled for Oct. 24.

24. (NR) New Braunfels (Texas), 38-2The Unicorns beat 36-8 Canyon, 3-0, then manhandled San Marcos to improve to 38-2. Having lost only twice (both times to No. 15 Reagan), the Unicorns have won 94 of 108 games this season. They host Wagner on Tuesday, then travel to 30-match winner Smithson Valley on Friday.
25. (25) St. Francis (Sacramento, Calif.), 24-2The Troubadours beat a pair of rivals, but lost to No. 5 Mitty again in tournament play. Their only 2012 losses have been to Mitty.
